Growing Comet Terms of Service
These terms set out the basic rules for using Growing Comet. By installing or using the game, you agree to these terms. If the Korean and English versions differ, the Korean version prevails.
1. Purpose
These terms describe the conditions for using the mobile game “Growing Comet” (the “Game”) provided by the game operator (the “Operator”), and the rights, duties and responsibilities of the Operator and players.
2. Definitions
- “Player” means anyone who installs and uses the Game under these terms.
- “Game data” means records created while playing, such as level, growth matter, skill points (SP), upgrade levels and settings.
- “In-game currency” means values used only inside the Game, such as growth matter and skill points. It is not money or property and cannot be exchanged for cash or sold to others.
- “Rewarded ad” means an ad a player chooses to watch in exchange for an in-game reward after watching it to the end.
3. Posting and changes
The Operator posts these terms on this page and may change them within the limits of applicable law. Changes, with their effective date and reason, are announced on this page at least 7 days in advance, or at least 30 days in advance if they are unfavorable to players. A player who does not agree to the changed terms may stop using the Game and delete the app.
4. Use and age
The Game can be used right after installation, without sign-up or login. Minors are encouraged to play under a guardian’s guidance. The Game is not primarily directed at children under 13.
5. Free to play
The Game is free and has no in-app purchases or paid items. Mobile data charges while playing follow the player’s carrier plan.
6. Operator’s duties
The Operator follows applicable law and these terms and works to provide the Game reliably. Personal information is handled under the Privacy Policy.
7. Player duties and prohibited acts
Players must not:
- modify, reverse-engineer, decompile, copy or distribute the Game without permission;
- manipulate game data or progress with unauthorized programs, hacks or macros;
- generate invalid ad impressions or clicks, or obtain rewarded-ad rewards fraudulently;
- exploit or spread bugs or errors in the Game;
- use the Game’s art, music, text or other content commercially without permission;
- do anything else that violates applicable law or public order.
8. Storage of game data
Game data is stored only on the player’s device. It is not sent to or backed up on the Operator’s servers. Clearing app data, reinstalling the app, or changing or resetting the device may erase game data, and the Operator cannot view or restore data stored only on the device.
9. Ads
The Game offers rewarded ads through Google AdMob and uses the Google User Messaging Platform (UMP) for ad consent. Watching rewarded ads is optional; the Game can be played without them. Advertisers are responsible for their ads and the products or services in them. Ads may not be shown depending on ad inventory or network conditions, and a reward may not be given if the ad is not watched to the end.
10. In-game currency and rewards
In-game currency and rewards can be used only inside the Game. The Operator may adjust amounts, rewards and upgrade values for game balance, and may correct currency or rewards granted by mistake through an update.
11. Changes, suspension and end of service
The Operator may update the Game’s features and content. The Game may be temporarily unavailable due to equipment failure, network outages, natural disasters or similar causes. If the Game is discontinued, this will be announced on this page or the Google Play store page at least 30 days in advance.
12. Copyright
Rights to the Game and its art, music, text and software belong to the Operator or the rightful owners. Players may use the Game only for personal enjoyment.
13. Restrictions
If a player violates Section 7, the Operator may correct improperly obtained game data or restrict related features, for example through an update.
14. Limitation of liability
Unless caused by the Operator’s intent or gross negligence, the Operator is not liable for:
- failure to provide the Game due to causes beyond its control, such as natural disasters, war, or carrier or platform outages;
- loss of game data caused by device problems, clearing app data, reinstalling or changing devices;
- damage caused by a player’s violation of these terms or applicable law;
- damage arising from services provided by third parties such as advertisers or Google.
Where applicable law does not allow liability to be limited, that law applies.
15. Damages
If the Operator or a player violates these terms and causes damage to the other, damages are handled under applicable law. Because the Game is free, the Operator does not compensate damages related to use of the free service unless caused by its intent or gross negligence.
16. Notices
The Operator gives notices on this page, on the Google Play store page, or inside the Game.
17. Governing law and disputes
These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Korea. The parties will first try to resolve disputes through the contact below, and either party may seek mediation from bodies such as the Korea Consumer Agency. Court jurisdiction follows the Korean Civil Procedure Act.
